This is an exciting opportunity to join Fareham Housing as a Housing Allocations and Sustainment Trainee and begin a rewarding career helping local residents access and sustain suitable housing.
This newly created trainee role sits within our Housing Allocations and Sustainment team and provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across housing allocations, temporary accommodation and tenancy sustainment services. You will work alongside experienced housing professionals, learning how we support residents through their housing journey and helping some of the most vulnerable people in our communities.
You'll work closely with Allocations Officers, Tenancy Support Officers, our Private Sector Temporary Accommodation Officer and the wider Housing and Homelessness teams. As you develop your skills and knowledge, you will gradually take responsibility for a range of frontline housing activities, including supporting the management of the Housing Register, assisting with housing allocations, helping customers move into accommodation and providing tenancy sustainment support.
The role will also give you the opportunity to work with a range of partners including Registered Providers, landlords, support agencies and community organisations. You'll help ensure customers receive the right support at the right time, enabling them to move towards long-term settled accommodation and maintain successful tenancies.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in housing, community support or local government, while making a genuine difference to people's lives.
